Slowdive announce London date

Slowdive

Slowdive last played live on 21st May 1994 in Toronto, now they have announced nearly twenty years to the day they will reform with confirmation of a show at Village Underground in London on 19th May.

The news follows last nights announcement they are confirmed on the bill for Primavera Festival in Spain later in May.

Further live dates will be announced in the coming weeks.

The reformation came about following conversations between the band over the last two years as Neil Halstead explains:
‘Initially we started talking amongst ourselves last year about making a new record, we were all keen to bust out the pedals again but figured it might be a good idea to do a few gigs this year to get back into the swing of things.’

Rachel and Neil played live together again for the first time in over a decade at last year’s Sonic Cathedral shows in London which you can read about by clicking here.

Tickets for the Village Underground show go on sale at 9am Friday 31st January via the ATP website.
